 To meet a growing need for a new attraction in the Costa Rican tourism industry, AmericaTravel gave birth to The Tico Train Tour. This project rescued the old- fashioned way of travel along the Costa Rican railway. If you plan on visiting San Jose, there is simply no better way to see the beautiful Costa Rican country side than by a train ride to the east coast.
 The train will travel through typical villages and towns, enabling you to enjoy spectacular scenery and beautiful views not seen elsewhere and which can be appreciated only from the train. While on board, you can taste the traditional “Gallos” ( typical snacks) and enjoy the wonderful service of our “Tico” staff.
 One of the great advantages of The Tico Train Tour is the amazing possibilities that it offers to the passengers, ranging from the basic one day popular tour to a complete private tour for groups with planned stops at the old train stations along the line.
